Can withstand both radial and axial loads. Can work at higher speeds. The larger the contact angle, the higher the axial load carrying capacity. High precision and high speed bearings usually take 15 degrees contact angle. Under the action of axial force, the contact angle will increase.
Single row angular contact ball bearings can only withstand a direction of axial load, in the bear radial load, will cause additional axial force. And can only limit the shaft or shell in a direction of the axial displacement. Angular contact ball bearings have a contact angle of 40 degrees, so they can withstand a large axial load.
Pairs of duplex ball bearings
If it is installed in pairs of duplex, make a pair of bearing outer ring relative, that is, wide end face wide end face, narrow end face narrow end face. In this way, additional axial force can be avoided, and the shaft or shell can be limited to the axial clearance in both directions.
