Thrust self-aligning roller bearings are the same as self-aligning roller bearings, the raceway surface of the seat ring is a spherical surface centred on a point consistent with the bearing's central axis, and the rollers of this type of bearing are of spherical type, so they have automatic self-aligning function, and are not very sensitive to the coaxiality and the deflection of the shaft. 
Unlike other thrust bearings in the sample, these bearings have a very large axial load capacity, and can withstand a number of radial loads while bearing axial loads, but the radial load shall not exceed 55% of the axial load.
As long as the loads P and P0 do not exceed 0.05C0 and the shaft collar is rotating, the bearings are permitted the centring angles listed in the table below.

Smaller values apply to larger bearings, and the permissible centring angle decreases as the load increases.
Oil lubrication is generally adopted for use. These bearings are mainly used in hydroelectric generators, vertical motors, propeller shafts for ships, tower cranes, extrusion presses and so on.
